The highest rated bathroom feature over 78% of buyers are looking for may not be what you think.
4 out of 5 home buyers consider the linen closet in the master bath an essential or must have feature, ranking it at number 1 in most wanted bathroom features.
This data comes form the NAHB's recently released report, What Home Buyers Really Want. Based on a survey of recent and perspective home buyers about the features they want in a home.
Two other features were considered essential or a must have by at least 70% of the home buyers. Those features are a separate shower and tub in the master bath (73%) and a double vanity (71%). It is important to note that these 2 preferences have the highest shares of home buyers rating them as essential/must haves, more than any other bathroom feature listed in the survey.
Other features that were considered essential or a must have by at least 60% of the home buyers are: a private toilet, a white toilet, tub or sink, ceramic tile walls, and a granite vanity.
